The Network
The Philosophy and Literature Network was established in 2009 in a 'Thematic Network' Protocol between the Institute for the Philosophy of Language at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the New University of Lisbon and the Program in Literary Theory at the Faculty of Letters at the University of Lisbon. This Protocol aims to explore the relationships between various areas in the humanities, specifically, but not exclusively, in the realm of literary studies and the philosophy of art.
Combining a research unit and a teaching program, the Network promotes the mobility of students and researchers in public initiatives and common research projects, such as the integration of research and teaching practice, with the objective of enhancing the employability of PhD graduate researchers.
All of the Network’s activities are held in the scope of research projects recognized by the Institute for the Philosophy of Language. Presently, all of these activities operate within the research projects submitted in FCT's 2010 call for projects:
Intention, Action and the Philosophy of Art: New Boundaries in a Theory of Action, funded by FCT, Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia.
In collaboration with ELAB: Estranging Pessoa: an inquiry into the heteronymic claims.
