We are glad to report that our project has been recommended for funding by FCT, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, the Portuguese government agency that typically supports research in the humanities. Thanks to their generous support, big things await us!

Now, the second (exciting!) piece of news. Every year, the Philosophy and Literature Network holds its annual colloquium in the first weeks of January. We are thrilled to announce that in 2012 our third annual colloquium, this time on “Actions and Reasons”, will serve to launch our project.

We’re excited about the program that we are putting together for the 2012 colloquium. The confirmed speakers are Miguel Tamen (Universidade de Lisboa, University of Chicago), Mark Alznauer (Northwestern University), José Maria Torralba (Universidad de Navarra), Franck Lihoreau (IFL, Universidade Nova de Lisboa), and Alberto Arruda (IFL, Universidade Nova de Lisboa).

More details will be provided shortly.
